After an interuption since 1984, the Embassy of Vietnam was reopened in December 2003. Apart from the United Republic of Tanzania, the Embassy also covers the the Republic of Kenya, the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Mauritius and the Republic of Somalia.
As part of its mission, the Embassy designs this website to offer anyone interested in Vietnam with plenty information about the country and its relations with these East African partners. Pages cover a wide range of subjects, from Vietnamese history, culture and society to its economic development and foreign policy. Links to other useful websites can also be found.
