Message from the Ambassador
 
Welcome to the website of the Vietnamese Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We hope the information contained in this website will be useful for you, and that you will pass our web address on to your friends, colleagues and partners.
 
Diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Tanzania was established in 1965. After an interuption since 1984, the Embassy of Viet Nam was reopened in December 2003. Apart from the United Republic of Tanzania, the Embassy also covers the the Republic of Kenya, the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Mauritius and the Republic of Somalia.
 
As part of its mission, the Embassy designs this website to offer anyone interested in Viet Nam with plenty information about the country and its relations with these East African partners. Pages cover a wide range of subjects, from Vietnamese history, culture and society to its economic development and foreign policy. Links to other useful websites can also be found.
