Vietnam films in Asia Film Festival in Tanzania

This is the first time Vietnam Embassy has taken part in that the meaningful cultural event which plays importance role in spreading Asia culture to Africa in general and Tanzania in particular.

Embassies of Asian countries and friends from Tanzania warmly welcomed and talked highly about the participation of Vietnam Embassy. Beside “White Silk” film, Vietnam Embassy also participated the event with a documentary film of “Hanoi Emotions” in the aim toward the anniversary of 1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi. This is a very special event for the whole country because it is a real proof for epic of Vietnam’s history and culture. The film “Hanoi Emotions” introduces Hanoi as a peaceful, historical, and impressive capital, and an attractive destination of investment and tourism.

In the opening press briefing, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Nguyen Duy Thien mentioned about glorious achievements which Vietnam has gained in its innovation process, especially in economic, cultural development, investment attraction, poverty reduction and hunger eradication as well as living standard improvement.

The Asia Film Festival was shown and published on many television, radio channels and news papers, for example: ITV channel, Daily News, the African. In which, the speech of Vietnam Ambassador was also extracted.

Vietnam films was shown on March 26, 2009. Most of audiences are Tanzanian people, foreign friends working in Dar es Salaam, including oversea Vietnamese./.
